Release Notes

Please note the following points for your consideration:

  • Party Identification in CDE Code Drop 4 is limited to UIC format only. BIC support will be available in a subsequent release.
  • For Ledger API connectivity, both ISO 20022 ingress and egress instructions are supported. Please note, resultant state change contracts may be visible, but are not documented in this release and are subject to change.
  • Final security, resiliency and fail-over models are not present in the CDE Environment.
  • Transactional data may be lost in the event of a system restart or upgrade. The ASX will re-populate environments with seeded data.
  • Mutual TLS for Ledger API connectivity is planned for a subsequent release.
  • Self-serve trades (via CDE Self-Service Trade Ingest API) on deferred securities are not available in the CDE environment.
  • Housekeeping for Transfers and Conversions, SRN Enquiry and Bilateral Settlement Instructions are not available in the CDE environment.
  • Netting Reversal has been disabled in all CDE Environments, this is to allow for settlement of Net Broker Obligations (NBOs) for all settlement days in CDE4.
  • For internal CDE maintenance, ASX may refresh environment every two weeks. ASX will always notify CDE Subscribers prior to any environment refresh.
  • Lock On Match, Lock On Request for Bilateral and Unilateral Settlement Instructions is planned for CDE5 with Settlement Locks functionality inline with the Forward Release Plan.

Bilateral Settlement InstructionsA request to transfer units, during a Batch Settlement cycle, Delivery versus Payment (DvP) or Free of Payment (FoP), between two Accounts (HINs) controlled by two different Participants.

CDE Drop 4 includes end-to-end workflow for this transaction type. This includes the workflow for Bilateral Settlement Instructions.

Bilateral Settlement Instruction Housekeeping will be made available in a subsequent release.

Approved Market Operator (AMO)FIX Messaging - MC - AMO Pricing DataCDE Drop 4 includes functionality supporting the FIX messaging specification for AMO Pricing Data.
FIX Connectivity OverviewCDE Drop 4 includes connectivity supporting the FIX messaging for AMOs.
Batch SettlementA Batch Settlement process to perform Delivery vs. Payment (DvP) (Basel settlement type 3) for all Settlement Instructions with a settlement date of the current business date.

CDE Drop 4 includes the workflow for Funds Obligation, Movement of Units, Settlement Confirmation and Batch Settlement Completion. 

Where insufficient units and/or Cum Entitlement Balance (if applicable) to cover net delivery position, then Cancellation of Scheduled Batch Settlement will be invoked automatically.
Corporate Actions

The ability for the CSP to support Corporate Actions.

CDE Drop 4 includes the workflow for Ex-Period, Basis of Movement and Notification for Dividend (DVCA) and Bonus Issue.

Security Sub-register Status Notification

A notification that advises the action that resulted in the Sub-register status change.

CDE Drop 4 includes the workflow covering the following Security Status Action Types; Sub-register Reopened (REOP) and Sub-register Suspended (SUSP).

The Sub-register Closed (CLOS) and Sub-register Archived (ARCH) Security Status Action Type will be made available in a subsequent release.
