Section 10 - Corporate action principles (Update)

1. Updated Section 10.3 - Security Code Changes to replace the lifecycle with a new Process Flow.

2. Updated Section 10.3.2 - Security Code Changes - Class Mergers to clarify updates to holdings.

3. Updated Step 1 of the Procedure in Section 10.3.3 - Processing a Security Code Change or Class Merger to include an information box covering Diary Adjustment functionality.

Section 11 - Corporate actions (Update)

Minor update to the “Payment / Issue Date” column of the Dividend and Interest Payment Lifecycle (Process Flow) to re-align the arrow between “Allot new securities to eligible security holders” and “Holding Adjustment(s)”.

Section 12 - Acquisitions and other events (Update)

1. Updated the following sections to replace the lifecycles with new Process Flows:

   • Section 12.3 - Off-Market Takeover - Overview;

   • Section 12.5.2 - Off-Market Equal Access Buy-Back; and

   • Section 12.6 - Scheme of Arrangement - Overview.

2. Updated the Terminology table in Section 12.1 - Introduction to include “Buy-back subposition (for buy-backs)” in the “Sub-position” row.

3. Updated the Procedure in Section 12.5.3 - Equal Access Buy-Back through CHESS to include Step 9: “CHESS releases any remaining related buy-back subpositions, if any still exist, through the Bid Finalisation, Lapse and Withdrawal Process”.

DRP/BSP Election and Distribution Advice Notification

Controlling Participant Initiated DRP/BSP Election Process (Update)

1. Updated the Option Number guidelines in the applicable Business Values and Rules tables to only state “Unsolicited (UNSO) must be populated” / “Unsolicited (UNSO) will be present”.

2. Updated to align the Security Code guidelines:

   1. on input, a Security Code, an ISIN or both elements may be populated and on output, both Security Code and ISIN will always be present.

DRP/BSP Election Enquiry Process (Update)

Controlling Participant Initiated DRP/BSP Election Cancellation Process (Update)

1. Updated the Account (HIN) guideline in the Corporate Action Election Cancellation - Controlling Participant Business Value and Rules table from stating “the securities entitled to the DRP/BSP election” to stating “the securities the subject of the DRP/BSP election”.

2. Updated the Option Number guidelines in the applicable Business Values and Rules tables to only state “Unsolicited (UNSO) must be populated” / “Unsolicited (UNSO) will be present”.

3. Updated to align the Security Code guidelines:

   1. on input, a Security Code, an ISIN or both elements may be populated and on output, both Security Code and ISIN will always be present.

Issuer (Registry) Initiated DRP/BSP Election Cancellation Process (Update)

1. Updated to remove the previous Step 3: “The CSP archives the pending DRP/BSP Election”. This step is no longer applicable.

2. Updated the new Step 3 content to remove “advising that the DRP/BSP Election has been cancelled”.

3. Updated the Account (HIN) guideline in the Corporate Action Election Cancellation - Issuer (Registry) from stating “the securities entitled to the DRP/BSP election” to stating “the securities the subject of the DRP/BSP election”.

1. Updates to the Forward Release Plan to reflect changes following feedback from consultation on netting and settlement workflow.

2. A new observed behaviour has been identified and the Known Issues & Limitations list has been updated.

4 May 2021 - Takeover and Buy-backs (Bid Offers) Functional Specification Updates (NEW)

Message Collections were previously updated to correspond to CDE Drop 9.5 (mFund Release). Takeover and Buy-backs (Bid Offers) functional specifications that referred to the CDE Drop 9 version of the messages have been adjusted to reflect these changes.
