CHESS User Interface Overview
I&T WG Webinar
The I&T WG webinar on 29 July 2020 provided a demonstration of CHESS User Interface functionality. A recording of this webinar is available here, with the accompanying materials available here.
The CHESS User Interface (UI) is a new, secure, browser-based user interface that uses the ledger API to provide access to the CSP. It is intended to service low volume users and provides a channel for input of ad-hoc messages not supported by a users core system.
Refer to CHESS UI Features for further details.
The CHESS UI is not a message gateway and will not support upload/download of xml files.
Onboarding and Security
ASX will onboard one or more Enterprise Administrators per organisation to the CHESS UI. The Enterprise Administrators will have the ability to create, manage and permission users for the systems. Two factor authentication (Via SMS) will need to be set up prior to access and CHESS UI users may be permissioned with either read-only access or read/write access (allowing submission of ISO 20022 Messages).
As an additional feature, the CHESS UI can be configured to include a secondary approval workflow for message submission to ensure that the correct messages are being sent by your organisation.
All interactions in the CSP user will be auditable recording the requester, approver, date/time and related message interaction and this information will be made available to organisations.
The access of the CHESS UI will be limited to ASX Net (including IPSEC) and will not be available over the public internet.
An up to date version of one of the following browsers will be required:
- Google Chrome
- Microsoft Edge
- Internet Explorer 11
The following desktop operating systems will be supported:
The CHESS UI is built to WCAG 2.0 (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) level AA standards.
