Site to Site IPSec VPN Internet Connectivity

Internet Protocol Security (IPSec)  is an open standard established by Internet Engineering Task Force (IEFT) enabling an enhanced level of security on Virtual Private Network (VPN) point to point tunnel connections (i.e. site-to-site) between gateways.

IPSec provides authentication, encryption and compression services at the network level, specifically supporting Authentication Headers (AH) to verify the sender and receiver and Encapsulated Security Payload (ESP) to encapsulate encrypted IP packets in an IP tunnel (known as tunnel mode). Additionally, it supports Internet Key Exchange (IKE), and a number of industry standard encryption protocols.

IPSec VPN provides an alternative non-redundant connectivity option for ASX Clients to connect seamlessly and securely into the ASX Network via the Internet, IPSecVPN is available in all non-production environments and available to low volume users in production subject to ASX approval.
