Ex-Date

The date on which the ASX changes the basis of quotation for a financial product to signify that trading in that financial product no longer carries the entitlement to a corporate action.

This is the date at which cum entitlement balances (CEB) are first established and the cut-off date after which any trades become non-eligible to the entitlement of the event or become ineligible to partake in the event, except for in specific circumstances. The Ex-Date begins at the Start of Day of the relevant date, and denotes the start of the Ex-Period.
