Settlement Tolerance Amount

The Settlement Tolerance Amount is the allowable difference between the cash values proposed by each party in the settlement amount fields for matching purposes when processing bilateral settlement instructions.

The Settlement Tolerance Amount is calculated as a percentage of the values in the settlement amount fields in the Bilateral Settlement Instructions. The tolerance schedule has floor and a ceiling limits. If the proposed settlement amounts fall within the allowable tolerance then a match will be achieved and each party will be advised of the value to be settled for the Bilateral Settlement Instruction.
