A party is an entity that has rights and obligations within DAML contracts. For CSP, all existing PID/UICs will also have a corresponding party.

Each node is authorised to act on behalf of one or more parties, therefore it is possible to have a single node with multiple parties, which may be required when a parent organisation requires access to their related entities.
